Earth UIC Geography Undergraduate Programs

The Program in Geography offers undergraduate major programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Geography, a Bachelor of Science in the Teaching of Geography, a Bachelor of Science in Geography, as well as minors in Geography, Cartography and teaching of geography.

Programs are designed to provide the techniques and skills necessary to participate in studies of urban and environmental problems, and to approach these and other contemporary issues within spatial and ecological contexts. Relationships between the natural environment and people`s cultural values and economic activities are studied.

A wide variety of courses including cartographic and quantitative methods are available to prepare Undergraduate students for careers in both the public and private sectors, in fields such as resource management, planning, transportation, real estate and industrial development, and marketing.
