SUMMARY OF DECEMBER 1997 MEETING
The previous meeting of the Northeastern Illinois ARC
Technology Users' Group was held at the CHICAGO
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER on the
afternoon of 16 December 1997. Mr. Andrew Bieber of ESRI-
Chicago showed a series of video tapes from ESRI's 1997
annual conference. The videos highlighted various topics
concerning ESRI products, areas of applications, and future
vision in an informal and fun "MTV"-style. Mr. Peter Thum of
GeoAnalytics gave his professional evaluation of each video
subject. Mr. Thum, as an ESRI beta site manager, affirmed
the direction that ESRI is taking and used his real experiences
to support his contentions.
