The Geography Program at UIC is a Coordinating Member of the ISDCC through its Chicago Area Geographic Information Study (CAGIS).

Introduction

As the need for information at all levels of government and industry steadily increases, the scope and volume of information products that are developed also increases. The Illinois State Data Center Cooperative (ISDCC), in conjunction with the United States Bureau of the Census, is coordinating access to and use of these statistical resources for administration, planning, and decision making in the State of Illinois.

Data services are provided by the Illinois State Data Center Cooperative through a five-member consortium. Each member provides a full range of data services. Members of the consortium include:

Selected services are provided by a network of affiliate data centers. The affiliate network is designed to extend access to census materials to city and county levels. Affiliate data centers include regional planning commissions, county and city planning agencies, universities, public and university libraries, health services research groups and local public libraries.
